Frontier Camp is a 501(c)3 non-profit Christian Youth Camp and Retreat Center located on Houston County Lake. Our purpose is to make disciples of Jesus by sharing God’s word in His Creation!

Frontier Camp was established in 1969 and is licensed as a youth camp by the State of Texas. We are accredited by the American Camping Association and are a member of the Christian Camping and Conference Association. We are large enough to offer top-quality programming, yet small enough to ensure that your camper gets personal attention from all of our staff. We offer 7 weeks of summer camp for campers aged 7-17, and 2 special weeks of camp for at-risk youth. In the non-summer months, we operate as a retreat center. We conduct our own programmed retreats for families, and provide beds, food, and recreational programming for like-minded groups that want to retreat to the piney woods of East Texas. We also host outdoor education events for school groups and homeschool co-ops. We have one of the best fossil hunting locations in East Texas on our property and use it to teach our guests about the global flood described in Genesis 6-9 from a YEC perspective.
